Considered
by many collectors and numismatists to be the most beautiful
dime design ever issed by the US Mint, the Mercury dime
ranks as one of the most popular of all US coins to collect.
Minted from 1916 through 1945, it's the last complete US
dime series struck entirely in 90% Silver.
Mercury
dimes were stricj at the mints in Philadelphia (no mint
mark), Denver ("D" mint mark) and San Francisco
("S" mint mark). The mint mark is located on the
reverse of the coin following the letter "E" in
the word ONE. |
